    Pray For Seniors & Elderly

Senior Citizens and the elderly people of any community are such a great resource to those they share there life experiences with. The Bible teaches us to treasure these relationships and learn from those that are older than us. These Bible Verses about seniors and elderly give us great direction on how to pray for them and how God intends the next generation to learn from those of older age.

    Use these scriptures when praying  for Seniors and the Elderly;

    Job 12:12- #1 – Wisdom

Wisdom is with aged men, With long life is understanding.

Psalm 71:18- #2- Teaching the next generation

And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Thy strength to this generation, Thy power to all who are to come.

    2 Corinthians 4:16 – #3 – Inner Strength

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

    Proverbs 16:31- #4 – Righteousness

A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness.

    Psalm 92:14- #5- Fruit

They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green,

    Isaiah 46:4 – #6 – God’s strength and protection

Even to your old age, I shall be the same, And even to your graying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I shall carry you; And I shall bear you, and I shall deliver you.

    Proverbs 17:6- #7 – Grandparents

Grandchildren are the crown of old men, And the glory of sons is their fathers.

    Psalm 91:16- #8 – Salvation

“With a long life I will satisfy him, And let him behold My salvation.”

    Joshua 14:10 – #9 – Moses

“And now behold, the LORD has let me live, just as He spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that the LORD spoke this word to Moses, when Israel walked in the wilderness; and now behold, I am eighty-five years old today.

Psalm 71:9- #10- Praying to God

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails.

I pray that these Bible Verses about the elderly and senior citizens were helpful to you today. We are so blessed to have people of an older age with us as they teach us about how to walk with God based on a lifetime of experiences.

  • Arise Watchman on the Wall

    Arise Watchman on the Wall

God is raising up and commissioning watchmen in His House to take their positions and to send out His warning to the nations as He gives them.  GOD is preparing the nations and His people for the sword that is coming upon the land, to bring judgment to each, according to His ways.

    Ezekiel 33:1-7

“The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, speak to your people and say to them, If I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and make him their watchman, and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself.  But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life.  But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.
“So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel.  Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.””

In our response, let us stand in the gap for our nation and nations, and remember 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 for GOD is faithful to His Word.  May GOD have mercy.

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,  if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,  then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place”   2 Chronicles 7:13-15.
